Anthony Weiner is cooperating with feds investigating his sexting scandal â turning over his laptop to the FBI — even as Hillary Clinton has not bothered to ask her top aide, Huma Abedin, whatâs on the device she shared with her estranged husband.
The laptop that Weiner may have used for communicating with a 15-year-old North Carolina girl also had emails of Abedin’s that are relevant to the Clinton email investigation.
Fox Newsâ Bret Baier reported Sunday that Weiner had given that laptop to the FBI â and that therefore a warrant may not be necessary to search the device.
Robby Mook, Clintonâs campaign manager, confirmed on âFox News Sundayâ that his boss âhasnâtâ asked Abedin about the content of that laptop.
Asked by Chris Wallace, the host of âFox News Sunday,â why Clinton hadnât asked Abedin, Mook said, âYou and I are on the same page.â
âI want to know whatâs in these emails, too,â Mook said.
Mook, citing a report that a warrant had not been obtained by the FBI to examine Abedinâs emails, claimed that itâs possible nobody has looked at the emails on the laptop.
But this new report â that Weiner is cooperating and that a warrant may not be necessary â sheds new light on the ongoing scandal with Weiner, Clinton and Abedin.
