A laptop theft was caught on surveillance video in the River Park Shopping Center and store owners are asking for the communities help in identifying the suspect.
It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday at the “U-Tec” store. near the two story parking garage.
U-Tec specializes in repairing electronics such as smart phones, tablets, computers and video games.
The co-owner said an older BMW pulled up in front of the store, a woman got out, grabbed the laptop and ran away.
He said the theft is surprising because it happened in the middle of the day and right next to River Park security headquarters.
“During the day its unfortunate it happened. In broad daylight. We have customers right in front of our shop with a car parked in front,” said Roman Gonzales the co-owner of U-Tech.
The owners want customers to know the stolen laptop did not contain any type of credit card information. It was only used for receipts.
